Prayers Needed

My daughter's best friend Amanda is in need of as many prayers as possible. Last night her and her boyfriend were on their way home from fishing and they were in a terrible car accident. Unfortunately, Junior, that's her boyfriend's name, had been drinking and lost control of the truck and wrapped it around a tree. He was only about 2 houses away from his when this happened. He was arrested, of course, for a DUI and she went into surgery.

Amanda is now in Surgical ICU in a medicated coma. She fractured her pelvis and has 2 spots on the brain bleeding. My daughter went up to see her earlier today and she said Amanda has a tube coming out of her head and is on a breathing machine. They want to keep her asleep for about 5 days then wake her up. She will then, hopefully, move to her own room and start a speedy recovery.

I know everyone should be pissed at Junior for doing this to her but he is beating himself up, severely. He loves her more than anyone in her life ever has and he is just beside himself with grief. He's sitting at her bedside now just holding her hand and crying nonstop. He needs prayers as well.

So please when you go to church tomorrow and/or say your evening prayers, please include Amanda and Junior in them.

It's Time

To Update. Grab a drink cause I'm gonna try and cover everything. Okay maybe half a drink, my life isn't that busy. LOL

Ok this is a 2 part update. I started last week but my internet is gone so I had to stop and now it's time to update it again!!!!!

Kate's car wreck. Let's see. Insurance did total her car and the check was already sent to the bank. She did have GAP insurance so that should pay off the balance that the insurance didn't. We're not sure yet if she has a deductible to pay, GAP insurance may cover that as well. I really want to sue the little sh** that totalled her car whether or not she needs to pay the deductable. She's had to go without a car and now has to come up with the money for another car, not an easy task for someone who only works partime for minimum wage. I think, personally, that she's entitled for some compensation for the major inconvenience and loss that he caused. My x is supposed to contact a lawyer and see if that's a possibilty, if he doesn't do it I will. I don't think the little bastard should be able to get away with totalling someones car and not have to pay for it. Kate has been asking him for the $750 deductable and he told her he has a phone bill to pay with his latest check and that was more important. We'll just see about that.

I took Kate dress shopping Monday for a graduation dress, what a nightmare. I remember now why I don't go clothes shopping with her. She can't admit to herself that she can no longer wear junior sized clothes. So when I finally dragged her out of Deb down to JCPenney she turned into the world's biggest bitch! All the dresses she tried on in Deb were way to tight and way to short, not to mention her boobs were about to fall out of everyone. She says "but mom that's the style" not on my kid it ain't. We get to Penny's and I force her to try on a few different dresses and GUESS WHAT she actually found one she liked and it was cheap. They had a sale going on on spring/summer dresses 50% off, not bad. We head upstairs next to the bra department and she wanted to kill me. Now mind you she's not fat in any way but she does have what I call a pooch, down near the pelvic area. I cursed her with it, I had it all through high school and now she has it. I thought if she got a tummy slimmer it would help "tighten" everythink up and help her look a little nicer in her dress. She was pissed when I told her she need to try it on with the dress to see if it made any difference. OF COURSE IT DID, mom always knows best, LOL. So we get the dress and the tummy tucker panties which by the way are expensive $25 bucks for a pair of panties, good god. My x met us at the checkout so he could pay for her stuff, don't ask, she has him wrapped around her finger. He only had to pay $22 for the dress and the panties, COOL DEAL. He had some sort of coupon and the tummy tucker must have been on sale too!! Here's a picture of the dress she picked out.

Update: Graduation was on May 20th and it was great. I was so proud of myself, I didn't cry, came close but I held it in. She looked so happy, I don't think we could have smacked the smile off her face. She was thrilled she actually made it. We didnt' know till 2 days before if she'd passed her English class and would be able to graduate. YIPPEE SHE DID IT.

My dh, or not so dh, was such a dick the night of graduation. I'm not really sure what his problem was. I was busy all day doing different things. First I had Kate's graduation rehersal, then I went to Ceeara's Kdg graduation, that was cute. By the time I got home it was 4:30, I had to get showered, dressed and have Kate to graduation by 6pm at Century 2. He got home at 3:30 and did nothing but play guitar hero. He hadn't started dinner, not gotten the kids at least dressed, NOTHING. Then he gets pissed off at me because I started having a shit fit and yelling at him to get dinner going so we could at least before we left. I also had pre-arranged so we could take seperate cars, no need to have the kids hanging out bored for an hour before the ceremony started. He was pissy about that too, accused me of not going to save him a seat and he was pissed that he wouldn't get a close parking spot to the door. SELFISH PIG!!! He never really got better as the night went on. He can be such an ass when it comes to my older kids. He is so much like his mother is scary. Oh well enough of that whining. Moving on.....

Let's see. Nothing else is new. Kids are out of school for the summer, bummer! Bryan started football camp today so I get rid of him for 3 hours a day for a week. WOO HOO. He wants so badly to play football in the fall, I hope he does well enough during tryouts. I think it would break his heart if he didn't make the team.

I can't think of anything else to bore you with so I'll let you go for now. My puter/internet isn't working but I'll try and get to Tracy's house to update once in a blue moon.

SUPRISE

SURPRISE EVERYONE, I'm updating. I know, I know, it's been a llllloooonnnnngggggg while.

Not much new going on here. Just hanging out. Kaitlyn's car insurance did total her car so she is without a car and hating every minute of it. The jackass that totalled it still has not paid her the $750 deductible so I see my xh suing his mom for the money. The x said he would not co-sign another loan for Kate since she doesn't seem responsible enough to say no to her friends. Well that's that.

My personal crap seems to be hopefully :) coming to an end so to celebrate I'm trying to plan a trip to CKC in Tulsa in August. It's the week after school starts for Goddard so I won't feel guilty leaving the kids the same week school starts. I went online today and picked out all the classes I would like to take and all I have to say is "OH BOY!" I won't have anytime to do any shopping. I'll be in classes all day Friday and Saturday. I'm not interested in doing the crops so that'll leave the nights open to rest and do whatever. I'm hoping to talk Tracy into coming with me, maybe Jennifer and Keri would like to come too, anyone else?
